When the clock runs out, the board gracefully returns to its base ranking unless another challenger is already in the ring. One payment buys one spotlight — no hidden fees, no recurring charges, no fine print games.

- Joining a board starts at $5. Enough to be in the game, cheap enough to try.
- Taking the crown is a real duel. If someone is already on top, your price to challenge is what they paid, plus one dollar. It keeps every battle honest.
- You only pay the difference. If you're already holding a spotlight, boosting your bid just tops it up — you never pay for ground you already own.
Every spotlight is processed securely through Stripe, and you get a receipt the moment it goes live.
